Star Shaped Cookie Cutters

Star shaped cookie cutters 6 different sizes. Cookie cutters for your own little “Star” Baker.   Made from food grade plastic, the set of six concentric star cutters measure from 11cm across down to 3cm across.  They have a broad “patting” edge making cutting the dough easier for children.

There’s lots more to make from these cutters than just stars.    By stacking them on top of each other you can create a biscuit Christmas Tree as seen in our picture, and the individual stars can be iced to look just like snowflakes.  You can use the smallest star to cut a hole in a larger star cutter and sandwich biscuits together with jam for a delicious treat.

Can also be used for sweet or savory pastries, or even modelling clay!   We also have sets of butterfly and dinosaur cutters to add to your collection.

Fun to use for cooking up some teatime treats.  Here’s a basic recipe for starters!

100g margarine, 50g caster sugar, 50g dark brown sugar, 1 egg, 200g plain flour, teaspoon ground ginger, teaspoon ground cinnamon.

Cream together margarine and sugar, add egg a little at a time and sieve in flour and spice.  Roll out to about 3mm and stamp out shapes with the cookie cutter.  Bake at 180c or Gas 5 for around 10 minutes until golden.
